Transportation

There are various routes from LAX to UCLA depending on your preferences for time and budget:

FASTEST

Taxis can be found at curbside (inside lanes) outside baggage claim. The cost to go to Westwood will be about $40. This takes about 1/2 hour in good traffic.

CHEAPEST

Bus only route to UCLA:

• At the LAX terminal area, take an Airport Shuttle Bus to Parking Lot C. This is a free service.
• Get off at the first stop after leaving the terminal area.
• Walk east (away from the airport) to the LAX Transit Center (about 100 m or 300 ft).
• Take a Culver City Bus No. 6 (green bus) to UCLA. The bus fare is 75 cents.
• The UCLA stop is the final stop in front of Engineering IV building.
• From here, walk west on Strathmore Drive (through the tunnel), north on Charles Young Drive (up the hill), then turn left at the first set of traffic lights. You'll be at De Neve Plaza.

This takes about 1 1/2 hours.

IN BETWEEN

FlyAway Express Bus
The LAX FlyAway Express Bus shuttles passengers between LAX and Westwood Village on the hour and half hour, from 5 am to 1 am. The cost is $4.00. The bus makes curbside stops at every airport terminal. In Westwood village, the FlyAway is on Kinross Ave, at Parking Structure 32. Click here for more information if required. Upon arrival, you can walk (about 15 minutes) or take a taxi (about $5) to De Neve.

Shuttle Service
You may arrange for transportation to LAX or other destinations through one of these shuttle services. The cost is typically less than a taxi ($15-20 for shared ride van service). They will require a credit card number when you place your reservation.
