This weekend, the growing group of core volunteer who have managed the operations of the Methuselah Foundation for the past few years will be flying to meet one another in Boston – many for the first time. It is a chance to celebrate the success of the past year, but more importantly to gather and plan the future growth of Foundation initiatives.
This year, the Foundation – and all the supporters out there – have been given a $6 million challenge by philanthropist Peter Thiel; rising to meet that challenge will be central to next year’s progress. As I’m sure you all know, progress doesn’t just fall from the sky; in any venture, getting ahead requires hard work and clever ideas. It requires organization, learning from those who have walked this path before, leadership and endeavor. We’re all looking forward to it!
