Oftentimes though, these results aren’t translatable to humans with the same conditions. However this is to be expected… After all, while testing treatments on animals is a good way to see how human cells and organs -MIGHT- react, you really can’t know until bonafide human cells are involved. This uncertainty often leads to misleading results, frustration, and ultimately a waste of resources.

With this in mind, the EPA has recently announced that they will stop conducting or funding studies on mammals by 2035. In addition to the ethical and financial benefits, this development will hopefully encourage innovation and ultimately breed useful results.
